Quality & Standards

Guaranteed Standards for Satisfied Guests.

Best Western pledges quality. Each new partner hotel undergoes a thorough inspection at the start of its cooperation with Best Western. Compliance with required standards is assessed again each year in accordance with Best Western’s internationally enforced quality guidelines.

This regular review gives guests the assurance that they can count on the consistently high quality of Best Western hotels. With the help of Medallia our guest survey system, we can gauge our guests’ satisfaction and continue increasing it.

Each Best Western hotel fulfills the following minimum requirements:

  • Continental breakfast (buffet or table service)
  • Dataport connection in each guest room
  • Coffee/tea maker in each guest room or the lobby, or free 24-hour delivery
  • Iron and ironing board in each guest room or upon request
  • At least 50% of guest rooms are designated non-smoking
  • Complimentary toiletry articles – e.g., razor, shaving cream, sewing kit, toothpaste, etc. – available upon request 24 hours a day
  • An English-language TV channel providing international news coverage
  • Bottled or canned water available to guests 24 hours a day
  • Larger beds available in at least 10% of guest rooms
  • Clock in each guest room
  • Music available in each guest room

The assessment report informs Best Western hoteliers and their employees of actions that need to be taken in regard to brand use, hygiene, maintenance, general services, service quality and standards. Should a particular hotel fail to meet certain requirements, it will be given a set period of time to make the necessary improvements. In the case of serious quality deficiencies, the hotel will be excluded from the group.

Best Western provides each partner hotel with appropriate tools for increasing guest satisfaction. Hotel owners can benefit greatly from these tools – boosting their sales and perhaps even winning one of the coveted Best Western Awards.
