Restaurant Volkshaus 1914 - The meeting point in the heart of Bern! We offer you a wide range of culinary delights. Be it for a short espresso in the morning, an aperitif in between, lunch or dinner in a convivial atmosphere or for a good glass of wine at the bar.
We have special menus for the little ones. Children's chairs are of course available.
You do not live with us? Never mind! Our gastronomy is for everyone!

Monday - Saturday 09.00 a.m. - 11.30 p.m.
Sunday and holidays 09.00 a.m. - 10.30 p.m.
During the summer from July 5th to August 23rd 2026 our Restaurant Volkshaus is closed on Sundays.
A la carte menu and monthly specials 11.30 a.m. - 02.00 p.m. / 05.30 p.m. - 09.45 p.m., Bar menu until 11.00 p.m.
There are 120 seats available for our guests.

Our rooftop bar will enchant you with its unique view of the rooftops of Bern’s Old Town stretching all the way to the Alps. Treat yourself to our exquisite cocktails and culinary delights as the sun sets behind the picturesque peaks.Opening hours

Table reservations are available exclusively online for groups of 5 to 10 people.
